For Employers

You bought the machines. We'll train the operators.

GDX Academy partners with furniture factories, joinery workshops, fit-out companies, and Cut-and-Edge centres across Nigeria and West Africa to train the operators their growth depends on.

The problem

The hardest part of scaling isn't the capex. It's the people.

Every growing furniture manufacturer hits the same wall: machines can be bought in weeks; operators take years to develop. On-the-job training risks expensive mistakes, multi-year learning curves, and inconsistent standards across shifts. Sending staff abroad is slow and prohibitively expensive.

That's what GDX Academy is built to be.

What we offer

Three ways to train your team.

Option 1

Individual seat enrolment

Send one or two operators to any scheduled public cohort. Preferential rates for returning corporate partners.

Option 2

Private cohort training

Minimum three operators. Custom scheduling, dedicated facilitator attention, and optional employer-specific modules layered on the core curriculum.

Option 3

On-site training partnerships

For select large employers, structured training delivered at your facility on your equipment. Subject to site assessment.

What you get back

Operators trained to a published standard.

  • Operators trained on industrial CNC equipment to a verifiable standard
  • A per-graduate performance report covering practical assessment and facilitator notes
  • Shorter on-boarding time and lower early-stage machine damage risk
  • Access to our alumni network for future hiring
  • Active placement support — if you're hiring, we can match you to certified operators
  • Preferential pricing on additional GDX Group services (WOODMETAL servicing, GDX Equip financing)
How to engage

Every engagement begins with a short consultation.

We want to understand your equipment, your shift structure, your production targets, and where your operator gaps are before we recommend anything. Training designed without that context is training destined to disappoint.

Employer FAQ

What corporate partners ask first.

Three per course. Below that, individual seat enrolment in a public cohort usually makes more sense.
